Style Options

At Vibe, we create many kinds of accent walls! Below you will find examples of the most common styles along with a short description of what defines them. Trying to decide between a few different styles? We’d be happy to answer any questions you may have! Considering a style that you don’t see here? No worries, just ask us about it, odds are it is something we can do. We can also make your wall functional/practical by adding a shelf or hooks!

Made up of boards that over lap one another or boards that fit together via tongue and groove. Can be arranged horizontally, vertically or diagonally. A vertical layout is often used to make a room feel taller/larger.

Slat Walls

Slat walls allow for a variety of different looks because you can vary the type of wood, width of the slat, the spacing between slats, and the wall color behind to create all kinds of combinations and aesthetics.

Faux Paneling

Faux paneling comes in many different patterns and is a relatively cheap way to transform the look and feel of any room.

The board and batten look is achieved by laying out trim vertically with equal spacing. Commonly only covers lower half of wall, but can also be laid out over the entire height of the wall.

Geometric

Made up of some combination of diagonal, vertical, and horizontal lines creating triangle and trapezoid shapes. There is tons of room for creativity when designing a geometric pattern allowing for a variety of aesthetics.

Reclaimed Wood

Similar to the shiplap style, but made up of wood with a rustic look. Although the wood has a weathered look, it is commonly used in both cabins and modern settings.

The picture frame moulding look is achieved by forming boxes of any size using your choice of moulding. Can be laid out to cover just the lower half of the wall or the entire height of the wall.

Grid

Made up of only horizontal and vertical lines that come together to create boxes of any size. This style is a great option if you are considering hanging a gallery wall of artwork or photos.

Beadboard Wainscoting

Beadboard wainscoting features wooden panels installed along the lower portion of the wall. A classic look that is both aesthetic and protective of your walls, making it ideal for high-traffic areas such as hallways or kid’s rooms.
